Features

The ManageEngine Free Windows Health Monitor tool helps the Network Engineer/ Network administrator to monitor the important attributes of Windows Server. This tool can monitor Windows 2008, Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

ManageEngine Windows Health Monitor helps an administrator to view the following variables of a Windows server.

  • Operating System Details
  • CPU Utilization
  • Memory Capacity
  • Memory Utilization
  • Available Memory
  • Disk Type
  • Total Disk Space
  • Free Disk Space
  • Disk Read
  • Disk Write
  • Processor Details like type/manufacturer information
  • Status of MSSql Server and Exchange Server
  • Network Utilization Rx/Tx

Operating System

Operating System Name are displayed in the server details view.

Processor Details

Processor details like processor Type, DeviceID and Manufacturer information.

CPU Utilization

Load capacity of each processor.

Memory Utilization

Percentage of memory currently in use. This is the memory currently in use as a percentage of total available memory.

Disk Read Rate

This parameter provides the average number of mega bytes read from the disk. This parameter is expressed in megabytes/sec.

Disk Write Rate

This parameter provides the average number of mega bytes written to the disk. This parameter is expressed in megabytes/sec.

Network Rx

Rate at which bits are received on the interface, including framing characters. Value in mbps.

Network Tx

Rate at which bits are sent on the interface, including framing characters. Value in mbps.

Disk Space Usage

Disk Space utilized as a percentage of total available disk space.

Dashboard View

The Free Windows Health Monitor tool has a Dashboard view to show the top 3 servers based on the Memory utilization, CPU usage, Disk utilization. If there are more than one logical drive and if this drive is among top 3 drives based on drive utilization, then this drive is shown as the top 3 utilized drive in dashboard. Similarly one server has more than one CPU, any one CPU is among top 3 utilized CPU among servers then this CPU is shown in the dashboard as top 3 utilized CPU. On clicking the server name in the Dashboard view , one can view the detailed server view.

MSSQL Server and MSExchange Server view

Separate views for MS Exchange servers and MSSQL Servers are given under Windows Network Tree view panel. Server details can be viewed by clicking on the corresponding node.

Retaining Settings

All details entered in the setting page is retained. Hence administrator need not reenter username password, domain, refresh interval while restarting the tool.
